Birds of a feather tweet together… Lots of interesting stuff happens on twitter. So, we wanted to share a few of the things from our feed that caught our attention over the last week or so that you may have missed.

  • First, we have this article from Modern Poly (@ModernPoly) (By way of Alexis (@flexibeast), via @CurvaceousDee.) about the intersection of polyamory and a primarily introvert personality. This was a very good read, and of particular interest to Rho, who is quite the introvert.
  • Tristan Taormino (@TristanTaormino) has put out an open call for papers and presentations for The Feminist Porn Conference. Click through the link to find out more.
  • (@xojanedotcom) tweeted about an interesting article by @kirkycheep,in which she expresses her personal concerns about the ‘mainstreaming’ of kink and the BDSM lifestyle without the association of context. It’s a subjective view, but it raises some interesting questions.

And since most parents will agree that the kids always deserve consideration, the last two are for the kids.

  • This takes us to LookingThrough.Us (@LookThroughUs), who tweeted an article asking What about the kids? This article offers an interesting perspective about being open and honest with kids, but keeping it simple.

Lastly, we have another tweet from Tristan Taormino (@TristanTaormino) with some Poly-friendly book suggestions for kids . This is similar, and really about making sure that kids see there are different ways for families to exist besides what’s most commonly shown in mass media.

That’s some of the stuff that caught our eyes this past week. Leave a comment to let us know what you think, or who you follow on twitter? Tweet with us @twoofx; we’d love to tweet with you.

We’ll be making this a regular feature, so check back weekly to see what’s going on in the world of twitter.
